This policy explains what personal information Cette Rue collects when you use our website, talk to our AI advisors or message us on WhatsApp — why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it.

Cette Rue is the trading brand of the company below. Where these pages say “we”, “us” or “Cette Rue”, they mean this company.
This policy applies to cetterue.com, to conversations with our AI advisors (Adam and Yara) wherever they appear, to messages you exchange with us on WhatsApp or by email, and to enquiries you send us through any form on our website.
It does not cover websites operated by other companies — including property developers, map providers or messaging platforms — even when you reach them from a link on our site. Those services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to read them.
We collect only what we need in order to help you find a home and follow up about it. In practice that falls into three groups.
We use your information for the following purposes, and no others.
Under Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020 we must have a lawful basis for processing your personal data. Ours are: your consent, which you give when you send us your details or start a conversation and which you can withdraw at any time; the necessity of taking steps at your request before entering into a transaction; our legitimate interest in running and improving a property advisory business; and compliance with our legal obligations.
Where we rely on your consent, withdrawing it is straightforward and costs you nothing — see “Your rights” below. Withdrawing consent does not make anything we did beforehand unlawful.
Cette Rue is an AI brokerage, and we would rather be direct about what that means for your data.
When you chat with Adam or Yara you are talking to an artificial intelligence, not a person. To generate a reply, the text of your conversation is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, which processes it on our behalf under a commercial agreement and does not use it to train its models. Our advisors are grounded on our property catalogue, so they answer from real listings rather than inventing them — but they can still be wrong, and nothing they say is a binding offer.
We also use automated scoring to judge how ready an enquiry is for a human consultant — for example, when someone asks to book a viewing. This decides who contacts you and how quickly. It has no legal effect on you and cannot deny you a service. A human being is involved at every point that matters, and you can ask to speak to one at any time simply by saying so.
We do not use your conversations to train any AI model of our own that would expose your personal details, and we do not sell your data to anyone, for any purpose, ever.
If you message us on WhatsApp, or ask us to contact you there, your messages are delivered through the WhatsApp Business Platform operated by Meta. Meta processes those messages under its own privacy terms as well as ours. We see your WhatsApp phone number and profile name along with the messages you send us.
We will message you first only where you have asked us to, or where you have given us your number in connection with an enquiry. You can stop those messages at any moment by replying “STOP” (or «إيقاف» / «توقف»). We honour that immediately and permanently, and we apply strict daily limits so that nobody is ever flooded with messages from us.
Our systems run on Google Cloud infrastructure in Europe, and some of our providers process data in the United States and elsewhere. That means your personal data may be transferred outside Egypt.
Where that happens, we rely on providers that offer contractual data-protection commitments at least equivalent to the protection you have here, and we transfer only what is necessary for the service to function.
We keep your enquiry and conversation history for as long as you are an active or prospective client, and for a reasonable period afterwards so that we can pick up where we left off if you come back to us — and so that we can meet Egyptian record-keeping, tax and accounting requirements.
When information is no longer needed for any of those purposes we delete it or anonymise it so that it can no longer identify you. If you ask us to erase your data sooner, we will — see below.
Under Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020, and as a matter of how we choose to operate, you have the following rights. Exercising any of them is free, and we will respond within a reasonable period.
Your data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored on managed cloud infrastructure with access restricted to the small number of people who need it to do their job. Access to our admin systems is controlled by individual accounts with defined permissions, and administrative actions are logged.
No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure. If a breach ever occurred that put your rights at risk, we would notify you and the competent authority as the law requires.
Our service is intended for adults buying or investing in property. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their details, tell us and we will delete them.
We may update this policy as our service develops or the law changes. The current version always lives on this page and carries the date it was last updated. If a change materially affects your rights, we will make that clear rather than bury it.
For any question about this policy, or to exercise any of the rights above, write to info@cetterue.com or use the contact page. You can also visit us at the registered address shown above.
